BLACKSTOCK; Margaret Ann

1930 ~ 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our very kind and caring mother, Margaret Blackstock on October 11, 2016. She was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Bert Blackstock. Predeceased by parents Catherine and David Foulkes to whom she was an extremely devoted daughter, providing caregiving in her home to both parents in their latter stages of life. Margaret is survived by daughter Ann (Rick) Pocock and their children Christina and Jeffery, and daughter Cathy (Tim) Chervenka. She will be sorely missed by all relatives and many, many friends. Our beloved mother immensely enjoyed her volunteer work at the Mission Hospital Auxiliary, she was so proud to achieve her 15 year certificate earlier this year. Over her tremendous life she enjoyed many hobbies.  Mom loved gardening and had a real green thumb. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and the great out-doors watching the stars in the summer evenings with her family. She resided happily on the hobby farm with her daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Tim for the past 18 years whereby she spent many wonderful years with her special companions, Buddy, Paddy and Honey. Mom was very out- going, independent and adventurous driving her pickup truck up to her 85th birthday. Mom was known for her generosity, kindness and love of life. If you knew mom, you simply loved her for her heart of gold, her warmth and caring personality. Mom, you are now in heaven and reunited with dad, grandpa and grandma.  We will miss you every day of our lives. You will always be in our thoughts, and forever in our hearts. No service by Mom’s request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mission Hospital Auxiliary.
