On Sunday, February 23, 2020 Marc D. Landry went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Abbotsford, BC, Canada.
Marc was born in Oakland, CA on March 27, 1953. His family moved to Lompoc when Marc was in the sixth grade. Marc was a member of the Babe Ruth Team that represented Lompoc and went to the Babe Ruth World Series in Klamath Falls, OR in 1968. Marc was a member of the 1970 Lompoc Braves Baseball CIF Championship Team. A proud Veteran that served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and Cold War.
After his military service Marc went to Christian Heritage College in preparation for the ministry. Life as a pastor took Marc and his family to many stops around Southern California. In 1987 Christ called Marc to Bassano, AB, Canada where he served in a small church till 1992. 1992 saw Marc taking the family to Abbotsford, BC, Canada. Marc moved to a job as a career councilor and other ventures.
Marc is remembered on earth by his wife of 47 years, Lorna; three sons; Damon with wife Nancy and their three sons Dorian, Aidan and Grayson; Nathan (Nate) and his two daughters Paige and Shea; and Ryan with wife Janna and their two children Aloysius and Tuppence. Other family includes Donald Landry and family; Kathy Morris and family and Don and Robin Johnson.
During life Marc modeled his love of God, love for his wife, love of family and love of baseball to his three sons.
A Memorial Service will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church Friday, February 28 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Maranatha Baptist Church in Abbotsford, BC.
