Malcolm was born in Kamloops, June 8, 1930, the fifth of six sons of Agnes and Harold Person. He began work for Columbia Bitulithic in June 1945, and retired December 1990, after 45 years of paving all over BC.

He was a member of Mt Zion Lodge #19, The Order of the Eastern Star, a Shriner, and proudly served as Worshipful Master in 1985.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary, daughters Lynda (Gary Pope), Hawkins Lake; Cheryl (Gordon) Wiles, Vernon; and son Ken (Kathy) of Popcum; grandchildren Ian Wiles RPF, Dawson Creek, and Charlene Wiles, an SFU student working in Ottawa. He is also survived by his brothers, Donald and Ronald Person, four sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial tea will be held on Saturday, December 2, at the Masonic Hall, Hocking Avenue, from 2:00-4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chilliwack Chapter No. 49, O.E.S. Cancer Fund would be greatly appreciated.
