M. SCOTT LOW

May 1, 2004

Born Dec. 21, 1918 in Cardston, Alberta. Passed away quietly in his sleep in Abbotsford, B.C., May 1, 2004.

Predeceased by Isa, his wife of 47 years, and his brothers Tommy and Bill.

Survived by his brothers Grant and Garth, his 3 children Doreen, Scott and Barbara, his daughter-in-law Paula, grandchildren Maclean, Ross Anne, Danielle, Adam and Mark, his best friend and loving companion Jean Knelsen and her fine family, and his many loving nieces and nephews.

Scotty loved his country. He served for 6 years as an officer of the Westminster Regiment where he fought for our freedom in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He went on to spend 30 years with the Department of Immigration in Canada and England.

He loved his community. He was Chairman of the Board of the Matsqui - Sumas - Abbotsford General Hospital, an executive of the Abbotsford Rotary, and a founding member of the Ledgeview Golf Club.

He was loved by family and friends whom he supported and comforted. Scotty made an indelible impact on their lives. He will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.

Special thanks to the staff of Bevan Lodge for helping him enjoy the last 2 years of his life.

A memorial service will be held on May 12th at 1:00 p.m., at the Ledgeview Golf Club in Abbotsford, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, the Candian Cancer Society will gratefully accept donations.
