It is with heavy heart that we share the news of Lynn's passing at the Oxford Senior Care Centre in Abbotsford, B.C. He fought a long battle with cancer and eventually succumbed to pneumonia. Lynn was born in Calgary, Alberta.
As a young man he joined the RCMP and trained in Ottawa, Ontario. Upon graduation he was transferred to B.C., eventually calling Abbotsford home after numerous postings. Nearing retirement from the RCMP, Lynn and his wife Margaret opened a Panago Pizza franchise in Langley, and later had a Sandwich Cafe in Abbotsford.
Always active and social, Lynn became a school bus driver with the Abbotsford School District, retiring after 24 years of service.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Laura Johnson, brothers Todd and Jim Johnson and wife Margaret Ann (Hayes). He is survived by his sister's-in-law, Sandy Johnson, Heather Tsumura (nee Hayes) and Debbie Hayes; Aunt Shirley Weins and family, cousins, nephews, nieces, foster daughter Sophie Bradaric, and many friends.
Thanks to Lynn's neighbors Donna Lewis, Bruce and his cousin Robert Scott, for their devotion and care of him. We also acknowledge the caregivers at Oxford Senior Care.
A "Celebration of Life" will be announced at a later date.
