Louise Rose (Gallant) Richard, late of Abbotsford, BC, passed away March 8, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born at Piusville, PEI on August 21, 1928. She is survived by her sister, Marie (Norman) Vokey, and her brother Clair (Sheila) Gallant; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Elmer Joseph (Spud) Richard; and by her brother, Alyre Gallant of PEI. In her early years, Louise worked at the Charlottetown Hotel. After marrying Elmer (Spud), they moved west to Vancouver Island, BC to a logging camp where Elmer worked and she was a cook. Later they moved to the mainland where she was employed at City Hall in Surrey, BC. Her two poodles Collette and Paulette were her pride and joy, providing years of companionship. Among Louise's favourite things to do were cooking, handwork, boating with Elmer and travelling back to PEI to visit with family and friends. They retired to Kingsview Estates in Abbotsford where they resided till shortly before she passed away. Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11:00 am St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford, BC.
