Apr 9, 1932 - Mar 5, 2018
Born in Steinbach, Manitoba on April 10, 1932, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 05, 2018 at the age of 85 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital.

Lorne is survived by his five children: daughters Karen( Dan) Kasowitz, Shirley (Robert), sons Dave, Wayne (Carmell)  Doug (Andrea) and son-in-law Jim Willms, grandchildren: Chelsea (Chris), Mike (Stephanie), Nathan (Donika), Antonia (Darren), Daniel, Tiffany (Matthew), Rebecca, Sophia, and Elliot and six great grandchildren: Leah, Kailey, Seth, Harlow, Emmett, and Thomas.

Predeceased by his wife Wilma, daughter Marcia Willms, parents Jacob and Elizabeth Rempel, brothers Edwin, Art, Peter (Elma), Edmar (Martha) and sister Alvina Loewen (Ben) and brother-in-law Ed Schellenberg. Survived by his sister Romelda Schellenberg, brother Leander (Louise) and sister-in-law Leona Rempel.

Lorne was a gentle giant, tall strong, and handsome. He wielded a smile that showed his gentleness and kindness. He believed that a man's word was his bond and that a handshake should be firm. He loved his wife (sweetie face) dearly and moved heaven and earth for her. He was a man of integrity and service.

He helped out wherever a hand was needed. He was a car guy, he participated in sports, and was an epic hockey player that legends are made of. Most importantly he loved his Heavenly Father and his family. If you had a problem you were dealing with he always said, "thanks for telling me, I now know what I can pray for." He was a prayer warrior. He had an amazingly positive outlook on life. If asked, he shared his wisdom and gave advice on everything from love, mechanics, politics, and sports.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cyrus Centre or contact the family to donate to a memorial in the name of Lorne and Wilma Rempel.

Service will be Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at Northview Church, Abbotsford, BC. Celebration of life will be live streamed at http://northview.org/memorials/
