In Loving Memory of Lillian Mae (White) Massey
1926 - 2016
Lillian Mae Massey (White) passed away quietly on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the age of 89 years. Lillian is predeceased by her loving husband Arnie and beloved son Arthur, her parents Arthur and Edith White and sisters Vera and Georgina. Lillian will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Kenneth (Sonia) Rockwell, Geraldine (Roy) Bailey, David Massey; five granddaughters (their husbands), five great grandchildren, her sister Doris (Pat) Head, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
The Order of the Eastern Star was a very important part of Lillian’s life. Her Eastern Star life began at Mizpah Chapter #6 Alberta in 1954. Later moving to BC she joined Pacific Chapter #21 and, Electa Chapter #20. In 1990, she received the commission of Grand Representative of West Virginia. In 1994, she was elected into the office of Grand Secretary which she held for six years. In 2003, Lillian was elected as Worthy Grand Matron of British Columbia and Yukon. She cherished all the friendships that she made over the years as she travelled through our Grand Jurisdiction. We wish to thank the staff of Menno Hospital in Abbotsford for their loving care of our mother during the last two years. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Memorial United Church, 33737 George Ferguson Way, Abbotsford, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the OES Cancer, or the Erma Boyce Library would be greatly appreciated.
