In Memory of Lilian (Sadie) Brown
1923 - 2016
Lilian is predeceased by her husband of 70 years Norman and son Barry (Patricia). She is survived by her son Ron (Anna). Lilian Downs of North East England married Norman after they met during WWII and immigrated to Canada in 1945 to a farm in Alberta. Lilian was known for being impeccably dressed and seldom without her "bling". She was always generous to anyone who visited for afternoon tea. Lilian travelled many years with Norman in their motorhome and enjoyed being a snowbird in Palm Springs. Lilian was a caring grandmother and great-grandmother who loved baking for the family. She was also an avid collector of holiday teddy bears which have been donated for display at the Bright Nights in Stanley Park to benefit the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund. She was a class act and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to VETS Canada
