LIL SATTLER

April 18, 2003

It is with great sadness that the family of Lil Sattler of Abbotsford, B.C. announce her passing on April 18, 2003. Born Lillian Ida Mae Wells on November 5, 1925 in Ryerson, SK.

Lil lived most of her life in Winnipeg, MB., then moved to B.C. in 1977. She passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with her illness at MSA Hospital.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Peter and her 3 sons; Terry (Joyce), Larry (Marion) of Winnipeg and Tim (Gail) of Maple Ridge; her brother William Wells of Redvers, SK, as well as 5 grandsons, 2 grandaughters, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. Lil was predeceased by her parents Percival and Elizabeth Wells and sister Irene Burnet.

Lil was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be remembered fondly for her kind hospitality and how she welcomed everyone into her home and heart. She found great pleasure in knitting for her family and keeping them well supplied with lovingly made homemade jam. She loved to travel and spent much time visiting friends and family in Winnipeg.

A Graveside Service was held on Thursday, April 24, 2003 at Hazelwood Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Turchen for his many years of compassionate care beyond the call of duty.

We love you, Mom, and we will all miss you, but you will be carried forever in our hearts.
