Leonard passed away on Oct. 14th , 2009, at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, after a short illness. He was born in St. Gilles, P.Q. and was one of nine children born to Albert and Albertine Tailleur. He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Jacques, (Lucie), Gerard (Bev), Marc Andre (Marie Rose) and one sister, Denise. Leonard will be deeply missed by Dolores, his loving wife of 40 years; two brothers, Gaston (Kay) and Lorenzo (Simonne) and two sisters, Rollande Doyer and Geraldine (Roy) Nelson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard worked at MacMillan/Bloedel (Canadian White Pine) for over 25 years, until his retirement in 1993. His favourite hobbies were woodworking and gardening and his pride was his garden of multi-coloured flowers. Prayers will be offered at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 20th, 2009 and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, Oct. 21st, at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave., in Abbotsford. Rev. Fr. George Edattukaran, Celebrant. Interment to follow at the Hazelwood Cemetery. Dolores wishes to thank the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and the staff of the Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Care Unit for their excellent care and compassion shown during Leonard’s hospital stay.
