Leonard Elmer Klassen

Leonard Klassen passed peacefully from this life with us through death into life for eternity with our Lord Jesus. He was predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Doris (Bielby) in 2014. They served at the Union Gospel Mission in Vancouver for 37 years and then in 1980 started the New Life Mission in Kamloops. They retired to Abbotsford in 1996. He served the poor and homeless before it was popular and was known for his passion to tell people about His Saviour. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Orville (Alice) Klassen, his children: Harold (Betty), Margaret, Marian (Kim), Norman (Rose), Herb (Heather) and David, his 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Central Heights Church at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 10th with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission or New Life Community Kamloops.
