RILEY, Leland. Lee was born in Big Valley, AB March 8, 1915. He moved to BC in the forties and there he met Luella Phillips and they were married Nov. 17, 1945. In the early years of their marriage Lee was logging at Nimpkish Lake. Later the family moved to Porpoise Bay and he worked for Johnsons Logging. When logging ended they moved to Kaslo, BC where Lee rented an old hotel and the party was on. The next move was to Mission by the old Eddy Match Co and at the age of 39 Lee joined the RCAF. Due to all the unrest in Europe, he was transferred to Metz, France in 1960. In 1964 they moved to Orillia, Ontario and then to North Bay. In 1967 they came back to Mission. They travelled extensively in their motor home and in Sept of 2005 Lee lost his beloved Ella. He then went into Burquitlam Lions Care in 2007 and passed away Nov. 25, 2011. He leaves his daughter Carol (Gordon), his grandson Tyler, granddaughter Lainie and great grandson Kai and several nieces and nephews.
