HUBLER, Laurette, Theresa (nee Chaille)
July 17, 1929 - July 10, 2011
Our sweet Laurette has been taken home by our Lord, Jesus Christ after a long, and difficult illness. She was a model of great faith and courage during this, her time of great suffering. Her absence will be greatly felt by all those who loved her and cherished her presence here on this earth. These are the titles by which we hold her dear: loving wife and sweetheart for almost 60 years, Mother and Mom, Grandma, GG, Sister, Auntie and friend. She is survived by her dear husband, Frank Hubler; her children, Judy Penner (nee Hubler), Rod Hubler, Wendy Methot (nee Hubler), and Wallace Hubler. Laurette was also blessed with and survived by her 9 grandchildren and their spouses and 7 great-grandbabies and her son-in-laws, Allan Penner and Terry Methot. Because of Laurette's warm and nurturing heart her niece Shirley Jensen (nee Chartrand) was her "third" daughter and our sister. She also loved her extended family members and made sure everyone felt included, loved and cared about. Although our Mom was born in Gravelburg, Saskatchewan, she spent the majority of her life raising the family with husband, Frank, in B.C. But, Laurette always made sure she visited and kept in touch with her family and roots in the Prairies. Thank you, Mom for making our family a family and for always reminding us of the importance of family. We love you and are happy you are with Our Heavenly Father. Please put in a good word for us. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford, B.C. There will be a viewing on Sunday, July 17, 2001 from 6-8 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC. Online condolences may be given at
