Lauraine Hazel (nee Lucas) Wilkins
After a valiant fight with cancer, Lauraine passed into paradise in the early morning hours of June 6, 2017 in the palliative complex care ward of Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Lauraine was born and educated in Stettler, Alberta, daughter of Howard and Gladys Lucas of Stettler, sister to Tom, Sharon, Edward and Margaret. She leaves behind her loving husband Terry Wilkins, son, Bradford Wilkins, of Kelowna, daughter Dawn Aline Staats of Prince George, and daughter Heather Ann Hayden of Covington, WA. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and many friends from church and the Abbotsford Co-op Housing Association. After her marriage in 1958 in Stettler, Lauraine resided with her family in Calgary, Edmonton area, Victoria, Mission and Abbotsford. All her children were born in Calgary, Edmonton and graduated from Mission Senior High School. A Remembrance Ceremony will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 17, 2017 located at 30635 Blueridge Drive, Abbotsford, BC. All of Lauraine’s family and friends are welcome to attend.
