Laura ENNS

ENNS Laura Helen (Nee Wiebe). Sept. 5, 1945 ~ July 13, 2011. Laura was born in Gnadental Manitoba on September 5, 1945. At age 6 she with her family moved to Abbotsford (Clearbrook) BC. Laura attended Clearbrook Elementary School, M.E.I. and then UBC where she received her certification to teach school. She initially taught at Yarrow Elementary School, followed by Queen Elizabeth Elementary School in Vancouver, then in the Prince George District. Following a move back to Abbotsford, Laura taught at Barrowtown Elementary and retired after a stint at M.E.I. Elementary. Laura married Edwin Enns in 1967 and together they nurtured 3 children, Melanie Moore (nee Enns), Colin Enns and Jarrett Enns. Additions to the family have been Sheldon Moore (husband to Melanie) and Gabija Zaikauskaite (wife to Jarrett). Grandchildren Amanda, Caleb, and Melissa Moore, Greta and Emma Enns have been added. Laura was an excellent teacher for her students, a devoted mother to her children, adored by her grandchildren and a wonderful mate to her husband. In addition to these roles she volunteered her time at Hidden Treasures (M2W2 Thrift Store) and in numerous teaching stints at LCC International University in Klaipeda Lithuania as a teacher in community English Programs. Laura was predeceased by her father in 1966, her mother in 1986 and her sister Irma Schroeder (nee Wiebe) in 2006. Left behind to miss her are husband Ed, 3 children and their families and her siblings Ben & Elsie Wiebe , Dave and Phyllis Wiebe, John and Karen Wiebe, Menno and Tracy Wiebe and Don and Linda Fornwald (nee Wiebe).

A memorial service will be held at the Bakerview MB Church on Clearbrook Rd. on Monday July 18, 2011 at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to LCC International University would be appreciated. Information and opportunity will be available at the Memorial Service.
