On Easter Sunday Morning April 1, 2018, at the age of 82 Konrad Kocsis beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend was welcomed into heaven by our Lord Jesus Christ.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Katie of 52 years of marriage, his son Konrad Kocsis Jr (Cynthia) grandsons Kyle and Alexander, daughter Christine Reimer (Jeff) granddaughters Katelyn and Jessica, as well as extended family and friends.

Konrad was born in the small village of Ecs in the country of Hungary along with his two older sisters, Emerencia and Erzsebet, and younger brother Misike who all preceded him. During the Hungarian revolution of 1956 Konrad immigrated to Canada and made Abbotsford B.C. his home on January 7th, 1957. By March of that year he began his 44 year career on the railroad where he was well respected.

In 1965 he returned to Hungary where he met his wife Katie and married her the same year. Konrad knew the Lord and his priority was his family. Konrad Jr was born in 1967 and Christine in 1972.

Konrad's true passion was spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, landscaping, making his own wine and singing and dancing. He loved to be with his friends as relationships were important to him. His family is grateful for the gracious care Konrad received during his time at Tabor Home. Konrad will be greatly missed by all of us and we are comforted knowing that he is with his heavenly father.

Please join us in honoring Konrad's life at a Prayer Service Thursday evening April 5th 6:30 PM followed by a dessert reception, and also Friday April 6th for a 11:00 AM Funeral Mass both at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Abbotsford, procession to Hazelwood Cemetery for burial service and then a luncheon at St. Ann's Parish Hall.
