Klaas Pieter Meindertsma, passed on to be with his Lord and Saviour on September 30th, 2014, after a lengthy stay at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Abbotsford, BC and Christine Morrison Hospice, Mission, BC. He is survived by Dixie, his loving wife of 63 years; his sister, Rigtje "Ria"; sons, Elko (Heather), Henry and Peter; daughters, Sylvia (Robin), Nancy (Maynard); 10 grandchildren, Richard, David, Matthew, Jesse, Brian, Michael, Daniel, Amy, Rose and Timothy; 5 great grandchildren, Joshua, Bailey, Danica, Evan and Haylie. He was predeceased by his sister, Elena; and his brother, Meindert Klaas. Klaas was known for his artistic ability whether it was painting landscapes or building model electric train sets. He will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by all who knew him. A special thank you to all the staff at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Christine Morrison Hospice for all your loving care. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Living Hope Church, 34631 Old Clayburn Road, Abbotsford, BC.
