Kenneth Reginald Beemish

August 7, 1942 - May 8, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Reginald Beemish, who passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, in Abbotsford, BC, at the age of 82.

Born on August 7, 1942, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Ken was a man of skill, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. A plumber by trade, Ken spent 36 years working for the Vancouver School Board before retiring at the age of 59. His work ethic was matched only by his passion for invention and creativity — he was rarely found far from his workshop, always tinkering, building, or repairing some thing.

Ken had a deep love for hockey and golf, but his favorite place to relax and recharge was the Glen at Maple Falls, a cherished retreat for 30 years where he continued to do what he loved most — fix, create, and lend a hand to anyone in need. Known for his selflessness, Ken was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. He was a loyal friend and a true cornerstone to those who knew him.

Above all, Ken was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Patricia Ann; his children Stephen (Athina) and Tracey (Kent); his grandchildren Kristen, Mitchell, Connor, Carson, Kennedy, Zoe, and Adam; and his great-grandchild Hudson.

Ken was predeceased by his parents Reginald and Esther Beemish, and his siblings Joyce (Gordie), Brian (Lynette), and Gordie (Paula).

A celebration of Ken's life will be held on June 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mt. Lehman Hall. All who knew him are welcome to attend and share memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken's memory to BC Lung Association or the Abbotsford Palliative Care.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
