NIGHTINGALE, KEITH

It is with deep sorrow that we share the peaceful passing of Keith Nightingale, on April 4, 2014, with his family by his side. Keith was a man of Integrity, who held himself to a high moral code. He possessed an infectious sense of humour, and effortlessly put others around him at ease. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Anita, sons Steven (Sue) and Chris (Robyn),

three precious grandchildren: Mikalya, Desiree and Cohen, brother-in-law Jeff (Lori), niece Justine and nephew Mike. Serving and protecting his community was Keith's calling, and he proudly served as a Police Officer for 37 years. He began his career with the Vancouver Police Department, but spent the majority of his years as a highly respected member of the Abbotsford Police Department. While passionate about policing and family life, Keith also found joy in playing hockey, canoeing, bike-riding, reading, walking his beloved dog L.T., and taking long sunny drives in his shiny red Camaro, with his favourite lady by his side. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the Rancho on Thursday, April 17th, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Thank-you to all the medical professionals who provided care, compassion and first class treatment to Keith. He was a vibrant, strong, loving and genuine man who will be greatly missed.
