It is with profound sadness that the family of Keith William Callander announces his passing in Victoria on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the age of 56. Keith was the son of Anne and predeceased father Newman Callander. He leaves behind his loving partner Vicki; daughter Sarah, son Shane, and their mother Kim; brother Glenn, sister-in-law Linda, niece Michelle, nephew Daniel. Keith’s teenage years were in Abbotsford, where he graduated from Abbotsford Sr. Secondary in 1978. In the early years Keith was an active father to children Sarah and Shane. Keith coached youth soccer, attended school field trips, taught Sunday School, and was a member of Trinity Memorial United Church. Keith spent his entire career with the BC Provincial Government. Keith’s 38 years with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure leaves a lasting legacy throughout the Province. He was passionate and excited by his work and provided exceptional leadership as the Director of Field Services in Kamloops. Keith had a zest for life, a contagious laugh, and was an incredibly loving and kind man; he cared deeply for family, friends, and colleagues. Keith took great joy in golf, racquetball, traveling and trying anything once, true to his motto that we should “Live life to its fullest and cherish every magic moment”.
