In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathy (Katie) Hintz into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 27, 2025.
She leaves a legacy of having served faithfully in children's ministry by way of Good New Clubs, Sunday School, teaching in Christian and public schools, hosted and taught in the Japanese Homestay Program; women's ministry via leading Bible study/prayer meetings, prayer coordinator and music ministry in various venues but most regularly in Care Homes like Tabor and Menno.
Her fondest memories go back to the 3 years spent in Okinawa, Japan, where she led her grade 5 students to the Lord, taught SS, directed Christmas dramas and was so blessed by a church that grew by about 35% a year with a baptism every Sunday.
She loved her family, was so proud of their accomplishments, and modeled for them a Christian life style that they greatly admired, appreciated and will eagerly follow. We will miss her cheery disposition but look forward to the day when we will all be reunited.
She is survived by her husband Jake, children Dan (Jan) Hintz, Steve (Lana) Hintz, Mike (Katherine) Hintz, Dean (Anjela) Hintz, Lori (Jonatas) Marins; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Olga Mueller, sisters Rita, Erna and Olga, brothers Bruno and Henry.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1pm on May 23rd at Clearbrook MB Church, 2719 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford.
In lieu of flowers donations will be gratefully received for Generation Rising or a charity of your choice.
