Watson, Kathleen Marian
March 22, 1919 ~ November 26, 2014
Kathleen Marian Watson (nee Harrison) passed away peacefully in her 96th year. She was born in London, England and immigrated to Canada in 1921, joining the Abbotsford pioneer Watson clan in 1946, thus becoming a very hardworking, successful farm wife & mother. She was predeceased by her husband George in 2005, brothers Bud & Ernest (WWII) and son Matthew in 2013. She is survived by her brothers Bill Harrison (Delores) & Geoff Harrison (Maureen) and sisters Bea Messinger (Bill) and Lilie Eidet, children Kelly Watson(Leah), Nancy Harris, Tim Watson, Jean Haffner (Greg), Andy Watson (Trudy), Sally Watson (Ken Fern) and Sam Watson(Sharon). As well she leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Kathleen will be lovingly remembered for her warm brown eyes and British humor; her baking and knitting. During her time off from her homemaking career and also during her retirement, she enjoyed bowling, golfing and travel. She visited many parts of the world, especially appreciating any opportunity to return to her homeland. Her family sincerely thanks the staff members of The Valhaven Home for providing 6 years of tender loving care to Kathleen.
Funeral arrangements: 1:00 PM Friday Dec 5 at St Matthews Anglican Church, Abbotsford, BC. First Memorial-Aldergrove.
