Katherine (Kay) Olson, born August 18, 1913, passed away peacefully at Sherwood Manor, Abbotsford, B.C. on March 23, 2003.

Remembered with deep love by her children, Alma (Walter), John (Anne), Edward (Gayle); grandchildren and two great grandchildren; Robert (Crystal), Tina, Tia and Holly, loving sister Nellie and brothers Victor (Helga) and Edwin (Colleen). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Our hearfelt thanks to Dr. M. Ormaton, Mom’s caring physician and the equally caring staff at Sherwoood Manor who tended Mom during the past few months.

Upon retirement in 1978, Mom moved to the west coast to reside with her daughter and son-in-law but her heart remained with her beloved former home in Kenora/LacLu, Ontario.

A private remembrance will be held by the family at a later date. Mom loved flowers, but should friends desire, donations in her memory to the Alzheimer

s Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

When I come to the end of the road

and the sun has set for me,

I want no rites in a gloom filled room,

why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little – but not too long,

and not with your head bowed low.

Remember the love that we once shared,

Miss me – but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take

and each must go alone.

It’s all part of the Master’s plan, a step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the fields we know

And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds

Miss me – but let me go.
