It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful death of Kathy Leonard on June 4, 2016. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Mom/Kathy was intelligent, practical and optimistic, generous, full of energy and welcoming of new experiences. She was happy to work in her yard or travel around the world. She enjoyed time with friends and was actively committed to her community at many levels. She was passionate about reading and learning new things. She loved all animals, especially Tia, her companion for years. She particularly loved family gatherings, and developed a very special role in the lives of her grandchildren. Her many inspiring qualities have had a deep impact on all of our lives. She is loved and deeply missed by sons Ron, Russ, Randy and Rex; daughters-in-law Georgia Boothe, Lori Cholowski, Haiwen Qian; grand children Grace, Jackson, and Charlotte, and her many other relatives and friends. We would like to express our deep gratitude for the compassionate and exceptional care given first by the “Team” in her home and then by the Staff of Tabor Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. A donation to Tabor Home Society or an organization benefiting animals would be gratefully acknowledged.
