TOEWS, Kaethe
Born on December 31st, 1934 in Fernheim, Paraguay, and graduated into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Sunday October 24th 2010 surrounded by her family at the age of 75. Kaethe always was an evangelist at heart and was consumed with a passion to spread the message of God's love to every person she met. Her passion extended to short-term missions trips to: Africa, Nicaragua, Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico City, Paraguay and the Philippines where she found her true calling and joy. She always came home excitedly exclaiming: 120 more souls for Christ! She was always selfless and exemplified a servant heart in what she did. She is survived by her loving husband Abe after having celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary just one week previous and will be dearly missed by her children: Sieghard Toews (Anni), Heidi Knutson (Carl), Linda Letkemann (Jake) and Edward Toews and her greatly treasured grandchildren, Jason, Jaime and Cody Fast, Melissa Marocchi (Mario), Jocelyn Mercer (Neil), Katelyn Letkemann, Collin and Rosalind Toews and her great-grandchild Karys Marocchi. Kaethe's Celebration of Life Service will be held at King Road Mennonite Brethren Church, 32068 King Road, Abbotsford B.C. at 1 p.m. Friday October 29th with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Kaethe's name to the Gideon Bible Society.
