Mr. Juergen Zillich of Abbotsford passed away suddenly at the age of 63.
He was predeceased by his father Wolfgang Zillich.
He is survived by his soulmate and best friend Tracey, his only daughter Krista, son in law Matthew and two young grandchildren Koen and Wynnsley. He is also survived by his mother, Erika Zillich, brothers Ralph (Teresa), Mike, Tom (Wendy) and sisters Barb, Carol (Jim), brother-in-laws Jamie (Cheryl), Kelly (Jodi) and sister-in-law Vicki (Cal), as well as many nieces and nephews all of whom he adored.
Juergen was born in Frankenberg Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1957 with his parents. He spent his childhood and teenage years in Aldergrove playing hockey and soccer, where he also attended and graduated high school.
He married his wife Tracey in 1978 and they celebrated 40 years of marriage this year. Living in Surrey most of his adult life he went on to graduate from BC IT in the field of aviation dedicating 36 years of his working life to his love of aircraft. Juergen started his career with West Coast Air as an Aircraft Mechanical Engineer, carrying on to AirBC and most recently wrapping up his tenure at Air Canada Jazz.
This sensitive, kind and generous man avidly supported Children's Hospital, the SPCA and never missed a charity toy run ride. He was happiest surrounded by his grandchildren, building or fixing almost anything and he loved hopping on his motorcycle for a ride. Juergen was often seen walking his tiny dog, Lincoln, who he loved very much.
This is a tremendous loss to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His light will shine on in the hearts of his family and his memory will never fade. May you find peace at a quiet fishing spot for all eternity.
