The family would like to announce the passing of Joyce Lillian Messmer at the age of 79. Joyce was diagnosed with lung cancer in May 2014 and shortly after, lost her battle with cancer on November 14th, 2014 while being cared for in a Quesnel Hospice. She is survived by 2 children, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Joyce will be remembered as a master chef, skilled quilter and a devoted volunteer in the Abbotsford community. She definitely left her mark in this world. The Celebration of Life will be held for Joyce on Monday, March 16th at 2:00 pm at Calvin Presbyterian Church 2597 Bourquin Cres. East, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Foundation.
