Joey passed away at Mission Memorial Hospital surrounded by the love of her family.
Joyce was the wife of John, much loved mom of Jody (Bud) Wandrei, Marnie (Casey) Vinet, Nana of Ava and sister of Marcie (Bert) Dercola.
Joey was born in Port Hope, Ontario and moved to a Winnipeg, Manitoba in her teens where she met John. After marrying in 1967 they moved to Vancouver, Delta and finally settled in Abbotsford in 1985 after purchasing Woodline Trophies.
As a secretary for the Abbotsford School District Joey particularly loved her time at South Poplar Elementary.
When she retired in 2007, Joey and John travelled to the Caribbean and all over Europe, visiting many of the cities Joey had lived in as the child of a Canadian Forces Officer.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated.
There will be a Celebration of Life taking place at a later date.
