On Feb 9th, Joseph (Joe) Peter Robson passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Sidney, BC.
He was 90 yrs young. He is survived by his wife (of 67 yrs) Alice, brother Robert (Norma), son Mark & grandchild Alicya, daughter Gayle and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was born July 1, 1927 in Rockglen, Sask to Peter & Anna Robson. The family moved to Vancouver, and eventually to Abbotsford. There he met his wife Alice and opened Robson's Barber Shop, supplying haircuts to 3 generations. In 1988, Joe and Alice moved to Vancouver Island, spent their time camping, fishing and enjoying their retirement and eventually moving to Sidney, BC.
Joe was a member of the Abbotsford Lions, Kinsmen and Curling Clubs. He was an avid sports fisherman but priority was his family. Gatherings always included a toast to those present and those departed followed by the infamous "Robson Cheer". Joe was a people person and always had a joke or story to share.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Beach House (5109 Cordova Bay Rd, Victoria, BC) on Sunday, April 22nd at 1:00 pm.
