Joseph “Joe” Mayer passed away on May 4 at the age of 101 years in Mission Memorial Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Milka “Milly” in 1997. Joe is survived by his son Milan “Mike” of Mission; daughter Mary of Vancouver; sister-in-law Mary of Courtenay; nephew Bob (Mary) of Nanoose Bay; niece Darlene (Rick) of Tofino; also other Ânephews and nieces.
Prayers will be offered on Friday the May 12, 2006 at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Parish Church, 32550 7th Avenue, Mission, BC. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Parish Church. Interment to follow at Hatzic Cemetery then a reception/lunch at St. Joseph’s Parish Church. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made in Joe’s memory to a charity of your choice.
