John David Siemens passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord on February 15, 2003 in the Menno Hospital. He was born October 15, 1914 to Peter and Katherine Siemens in Nikopol, Russia.
He is survived by his loving wife Elsie of 59 years, his 10 children; Dennis (Betty) of Abbotsford, Linda (Dave) Dyck of Kelowna, Gordon (Donna) of Abbotsford, Edna (Ron) Peters of Abbotsford, Helen (Bill) Hooge of Mission, Walt of Abbotsford, Kathy (Dennis) Klassen of Abbotsford, Rita (Rick)Houweling of Grand Prairie, AB, Sam (Bev) of Abbotsford, and Rhonda (Derrick) Dueck of Abbotsford, 30 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and brothers David (Elizabeth) and Cornelius both of Abbotsford.
John and Elsie were married Octboer 9, 1943 in Vancouver. In the spring of 1944 they moved to Abbotsford and farmed for 41 years, which included dairy, poultry and raspberry farming. In 1986 they moved to Clearbrook and retired.
A private family graveside service will be held followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.mm on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Clearbrook MB Church.
