John passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, January 17, 2005 at the age of 78 years, after a nine year battle with cancer.
John is survived by his loving wife Frieda; Frieda’s children Lindy (Jim) Davis and Dietmar (Suzanne) Bartel; five grandchildren: Ronnie and Kim Davis and Amanda (Bryan) Carter, Julian and Danielle Bartel; numerous cousins in Canada, USA and Germany; and many friends. John was predeceased by his young brother Gustav; his parents and his first wife Margaret.
Memorial service will be held Friday, February 4, 2005 at 1:00 pm at Central Heights MB Church, 1661 McCallum Rd., Abbotsford, BC. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory may be made to an organization giving aide for the Tsunami Disaster Relief or any charity of your choice.
