June 16, 1943 - July 9, 2021
Now free from pain, John Hoogland, born on June 16, 1943, passed away ever so peacefully on July 9, 2021. The Lord greeted him with open arms and he has been reunited with his infant daughter, family and friends. It was six and a half years ago when doctors told us he had terminal cancer and had mere days to live.
He defied all the odds and though it was not an easy road, we were blessed with more days than any specialist could have ever predicted; for that we are forever thankful.
John is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Irene, and his adoring daughters and their families: Tania and Mark (Asia, Sabryna, Brodie), Cindy and Tony (Jacob, Gabriel), Laurie and Grant (Nathan, Shayla, Alyssa), and Sheri and Shawn (Adam, Megan, Emma). He was predeceased by his infant daughter Janet.
Many thanks to Dr. Keith and all the nursing staff at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. You were an amazing team and great support over the years.
Celebration of Life took place on Thursday July 22, 2021 at the New Life Christian Reformed Church.
