Mr. John Andrew Davidson late of Abbotsford, BC passed away on June 5th, 2020 at the age of 68. He is resting in the arms of his Savior.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Gisele Davidson, children; Kelly (John), Gillian, Megan, Jilliane (Matt), Tanya (Larry) and Daniel (Alyssa), grandchildren; Daisy, Hannah, Luke, Kristian, furry four-legged friends Tova and Tess, brothers Bruce (Sheena) and Alistair (Sandra), sister Dorothy, sister-in-law Theresa, brother-in-law Aurele, nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was predeceased by his father John Davidson (2007) and his mother Dorothy Davidson (2020). A small private funeral will be held for family, a Celebration of Life to follow at a later date.
John's life was dedicated to helping others through his years of service with various police departments, London Metro Police, Vancouver PD, Matsqui PD and Abbotsford PD where John retired as Inspector in 2008. John played an active role in bridging the gap between law enforcement and youth at risk through the Pulling Together Society. John's work continued with Vision Quest Society in the rehabilitation of those suffering with addiction. John loved teaching the Alpha program at his home church Trinity CRC to many from different cultures, recovery homes, and members of the church local community.
