John Allen Barrand, late of Abbotsford, BC passed away on September 6, 2005 at the age of 81 at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission. John is survived by his loving wife Sarah Margaret, son Mark (Tracy) of Colorado, sister Dorothy Jean Gross of St. Louis, USA, stepdaughter Debbie (Carl), and stepson Bob (Teresa) of Langley. John is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
John was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Marcia of Denton, Kansas where he was born. John moved to British Columbia in 1964. He worked as a Sales Rep at Thomas J. Lipton for many years and loved his job. John loved camping, fishing and his poker nights with his friends.
There will be no service at his request. Tea will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 2:00 pm at The Abbotsford Co-op.
