John Alan, retired teacher from schools in Hodgeville , Maryfield and Birsay, Saskatchewan and Langley, Crawford Bay and Agassiz, British Columbia, passed away on November 27, 2004 at the age of 79. He is survived by his loving wife Emily Ada Marples (nee Gilbert) and his six children, John, Candace (Robert), Melissa, David, Paul (Ann-Marie) and Patrick (Barbara), five grandchildren, Monica, Katelyn, Meghan, Sarah and Liam, four great-grandchildren, Melissa, Joel, Cassandra and Trinity and a large loving extended family.
A memorial service will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home, Saturday, December 4, at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The family wishes to thank the staff of MSA Hospital, and Dr. Newton for their care and support.
