KROEKER, Johann (John)
John Kroeker peacefully went to be with his Lord and Saviour on January 3, 2011 at ARH. John was born on Oct. 10, 1918 in Landskrone, Russia. In 1925 the family immigrated to Canada and settled in Alexander, MB. In 1944 the family moved to the coast. In 1956 John married Helen Stobbe and settled in Richmond where they raised 4 children. Upon retirement, John and Helen moved to Abbotsford. As a family provider, John was very committed to his wife and children, providing them with a loving and secure home. He was also committed to helping those around him and was a witness to the Lord in all areas of life. During his life he joyfully carried on the gift of visitation, first as a youth, conducting Union Gospel Street Meetings, and later doing home and hospital visitations. John's hobbies included photography, camping, and reading his Bible. He and Helen travelled throughout Canada, Europe, Australia, and the southern U.S.A. John leaves behind his wife Helen of 55 years, sons Paul and Tim, and daughters Ruth (McMasters) and Eunice (Perri) as well as 7 grand- children. Memorial service Sat., Jan. 8, 1pm at Ross Road Comm. Church in Abbts.
