Joanne was a woman who enjoyed nature hand in hand with God, who received immense joy from her love of teaching, photography, pottery and painting; along with her adventures on and off the beaten path.
In striving to obtain further knowledge of the arts, one of her most proud accomplishments was achieving her Masters in Arts Education. Along with her continual learning of arts, she loved to share her knowledge and expertise, enjoying that with others whether in her career as a teacher, or through art groups and friendships continuing into her retirement.
One of her long-lasting memberships that she enjoyed was with Toastmasters, which afforded her the opportunities to gain skills to help with her teaching and create friendships. Our beloved mother passed away while driving across Canada, with her truck and trailer, doing what she loved, in a tragic vehicle accident in Perth County, Ontario.
She passed away at the age of 74 on July 25th, 2022. Joanne is survived by her mother Ruby; daughters Tracey and Karie-Ann (Geoff); her beloved grandchildren Kaitlyn, Isaac, Evan, Cole, Sean and Ryan.
She is also survived by her sisters Judy and Dena (Daniel); her nieces Nicola (Jeremy) and Kristen; her nephews Michael and Anthony; and many other beloved relatives and friends.
Joanne has requested to be cremated and that her ashes be scattered on the open ocean outside Horseshoe Bay, a place that holds special memories for her. For those wanting to contact and/or join us in a memorial, please contact her daughters, Tracey and Karie-Ann at TKBell324@gmail.com.
