CURTIS JoAnne. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of JoAnne Curtis on July 20th, 2013 after a short but very courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind her best friend and husband Grant, her children, Cora (David), Sean, Angie (Travis) and her grandchildren Ben, Adam, Kelso, Josh, Carter, Makenna and Austin. She will also be remembered by her 2 brothers and 1 sister and their families as well as many friends. She was predeceased by her parents Ben & Annie Erman. JoAnne's laughter and smile would light up a room, and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her especially her family. She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed doing so many things like traveling, photography and most of all her love of painting. But her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Whether it was tea party, an impromptu dance party, a walk on the seawall, giving advice or just an ear to listen, she was there for everyone. She will always have a very special place in all our hearts. A private family service was held at Hazelwood Cemetery on July 24th, 2013. The family would like to thank all the wonderful care staff at the Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack for the wonderful care they gave JoAnne. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Chilliwack Hospice Society.
