Jim Groening, 75 years of age, of Mission, BC, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013. He was born to the late Jake and Helen Groening. The family moved to Mission in the mid 1940’s where Jim went to school. In his youth he was involved in the Mission Soap Box Derby for 4 years. He built his own race car. In his early years he started a tire business that became very successful in the Hatzic area. He branched out to Mission in later years. He was always interested in machinery and how things worked. He woke every morning with an enthusiasm for life. He was a loyal and loving husband, and loved his dogs.
