Mr. Jim de Goede, late of Abbotsford, passed into the presence of the Lord at the age of 47 years. He is survived by his son Adam, daughters Sarah and Christine and their mother Noreen Swift, parents Hank and Agnes, 5 sisters; Betty (Harry) Wierda, Cora (Henry) Rempel, Mary Ann (Jake) Groeneweg, Rosalie (Steve) Dykstra, and Gertie (John) Timmer; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Jim started painting at the age of twelve. He studied art at the University of Calgary and graduated from the Alberta College of Art. He was a lifelong outdoorsman and a passionate traveller, sketching, painting and photographing as he went. His creativity reflects in all that he did. He will be remembered.
A visitation will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home at 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford on Thursday, July 14, 2005 from 7:00 — 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Friday, July 15 at 1:00 pm at New Life Christian Reformed Church at 35270 Delair Road, Abbotsford.
