January 18, 2019
Jenny Visser, aged 76, of Abbotsford, BC, passed away peacefully January 18, 2019, with family by her side. She courageously battled multiple myeloma (cancer) for eleven years.

Born in Wirdum, Groningen in the Netherlands, Jenny and her family relocated to the Fraser Valley at the age of seven. Her family moved to Grand Forks, BC when she was 17, where she met and married Tony.  In 1967, they moved to Abbotsford where they dairy farmed until 1985.

Jenny is survived by her loving husband Tony, two children: Roselyn (Curtis) Weinrauch of Innisfail, and Gail (Kevin) Shaw of Wetaskiwin; and five beautiful granddaughters: Alyssa, Brianna, Haley, Kristen (Justin) and Rachel. She also leaves her sister, Bertha (Peter) Blom and the Visser family members in Canada and the Netherlands.  Jenny was predeceased by her son Gary in 2007.

Jenny took great pleasure in her beautiful garden, quilting, cross-stitch and her lifelong involvement in 4-H. She was an active member of the community, volunteering at the Canadian Blood Services and Upper Sumas Women's Institute for decades.  She was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind beautiful memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society who took such great care of Jenny, and her family.
