October 16, 1935 - November 19, 2021
Jennie Jansen passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord on November 19, 2021. Jennie was born on October 16, 1935 to Tienes and Jeltje DeJong in Echten, Friesland, The Netherlands.
Jennie was predeceased by her husband Henry Jansen and three of her brothers (John, Harry and Henry). Jennie is survived by her four children, Steven (Bonnie), Judy (Jim), Tim (Heather), David and her five grandchildren, Stephanie, Kyle, Mairin, Taya, and Kassi.
Jennie's family immigrated from The Netherlands to the Fraser Valley in June of 1947. Jennie was the fourth child of ten children. Jennie married Henry Jansen in November 1958. Together they had four children and built a beautiful life together. In the winter of 1961 they moved the family to a property in Matsqui where they built a dairy farm and a house. Thirty years later they built their retirement house on the property which Jennie was able to live in for the balance of her life. Jennie was a devout christian and was an active member in the Christian Reformed Church.
She enjoyed getting together with family and friends and maintained a beautiful flower garden.

A service will be held at Trinity Christian Church, 3215 Tretheway Street, Abbotsford on Friday the 26th of November at 1:00 PM. The Service will also be available on You Tube.
