Jean Rothery, 97, passed away peacefully at home joining her husband Dick (Richard), in heaven on Wednesday July 27, 2022. She was born in Port Arthur, Ontario on April 18, 1925, the daughter of Lawrence and Grace (nee Poulin).
Jean is survived by two children, daughter Sandra L. Groccia (Carmen) of Thunder Bay, Ontario, and David G. Fiskar (Carol Taylor) of Chilliwack, B.C. She was also preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Maxine Williams.
Jean is also survived by her granddaughter, Teryl Rothery, whom she raised from birth.
Gram was blessed and survived by grandchildren; Jeannie, Trace, Randy, Jodi, Kelly (Ryan), Christopher, Jo-Ann (John), Julie; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her three siblings Anthony (Pete), Rita, and Annette.
She loved family card night, baking, crocheting, and crafts. She enjoyed many laughs, card games and watching the Vancouver Canucks wins and losses with her treasured friends and neighbors. She was a strong and determined woman leaving behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

In remembrance of Jean's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
The family would like to extend an invitation to join them in a Celebration of Life Service for Jean on Saturday August 27th, 2022, at the Complex Hall located at 33088 Mill Lake Road, Abbotsford, B.C. between 1:00-4:00 p.m.
