Jean Elizabeth Benson late of Abbotsford, BC passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on December 16, 2013 at the age of 63. She is survived by her loving husband, Gil; daughters, Linda (Gerald), Connie (Greg); grandchildren, Martika, Cortney, Keenan, Amaya, Jonathan; great - grandchild, Zakarias; siblings, Charles (Shirley), Art (Lorraine), Ron (Wavey), Robert (Hazel), Brian (Chris); as well as many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Phoebe; 2 brothers, Rodger and Roy and 1 sister, Emma. She will be loved and missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Henderson's Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC. The family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Abbotsford Regional Cancer Centre for the compassionate care they gave to Jean during her time there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
