Janice Marilyn Niblack (nee Allison) passed away at Mission Memorial Hospital, May 5, 2005, after a courageous two year battle with cancer.

Janice was born in Chilliwack May 5, 1950. She is predeceased by her mother, Joan Allison; grandparents, Gordon and Margaret Bellrose; and Walter and Phyllis Allison.

Janice leaves to mourn, her loving family: husband, Dan, and her three children: sons, Christopher and Josh (Trina); and daughter, Darcy. Also survived, by her father Bernie Allison, mother-in-law Molly Niblack; uncles and aunts, Denny and Vera Allison, Paul and Bonnie Corcoran; and cousins, Michael and Carol (Allison), Gordon and Greg Corcoran.

Janice was descended from a pioneer family. Her great-grandparents, George and Elizabeth Bellrose, came to the Fraser Valley in 1884.

Janice worked at the Fraser Valley Regional Library for 25 years and will be sadly missed by her co-workers and many close friends who loved her. She was a wonderful homemaker and her hobbies were needlepoint, music and movies.

Prayers will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary St., Chilliwack at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, with Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary’s, Wednesday, May 11, at 10:00 a.m. Father Gary Gordon Celebrant.

Interment in the Heritage section, Chilliwack Cemeteries, 10010 Hillcrest Drive, Chilliwack.

If friends and family so desire, a donation to a charity of choice may be made in Janice’s name.
