James Victor (1928 - 2005)
Suddenly and peacefully August 13 at MSA Hospital.
Retired X-Ray Engineer and avid astronomer, Vic was born in Manchester, England January 23, 1928. His life's journey brought him to Canada in March, 1959. In 1960 Vic met his wife of 41 years, Germaine, who along with his son Robert (Francine), and siblings Duncan (Mary) and Dorothy (Les) remain to celebrate his life. Active in the community, Vic loved to share his knowledge of astronomy with schools and scout troops. He was instrumental in establishing a "Dark Sky" park for every astronomer's enjoyment. He was a wonderful man with a keen mind who will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wiebe, Dr. Keshmiri, and the Telemetry Nurses at MSA Hospital for their outstanding care.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to a charity of their choice. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 24, at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, 2010 Guildford Dr., Abbotsford.
