DYCK, James Albert. 1955 ~ 2011. James passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Burnaby Hospital. He is predeceased by his father, Albert I Dyck; brother, Edward Dyck; nephew, Gary Edward Dyck and niece, Emma Joy Friesen. He is survived by his mother, Louise Dyck-Wiebe; sisters, Verna (John) Wiens & Eileen (Peter) Howard-Jones; sister-in-law, Mary Dyck and many nieces and nephews. James first love was music, whether playing the piano or just singing, tell him your choice of song and he would play it and sing with much feeling and enthusiasm. James entertained many patrons at various restaurants in the city, enjoyed karaoke and in the last few years playing at the New Vista Care Centre in Burnaby. He will be greatly missed for his enthusiastic "Hi, how are you" and then on to conversation on almost any topic. His memory was like no other. We would like to especially thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Burnaby Hospital and all the caregivers at New Vista Care Centre for their loving care and understanding of Jim.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 pm Tuesday, June 21 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, at Northview Community Church, 32040 Downes Road, Abbotsford.
