Jaida Laine Olivia

April 15, 2002 to Oct. 28, 2006

Jaida Laine Olivia Kooy was born in Abbotsford, BC at MSA Hospital on April 15, 2002. Our precious Jaida left us peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2006 in the arms of her mommy and daddy after spending a loving evening with her brother, Jacob and family.

Jaida attended the Gingerbread House Preschool with Miss. Toni Goode and she loved to dance with Miss. Tamara and her friends at DanceWorx. Jaida loved to play with her brother Jacob, to host concerts, talk on her phone, under ducks on the swing, ride her bike, swim, dance and play with her friends. She had a zest for life, a boisterous laugh and wonderful hugs and kisses.

Jaida will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Anthony and Debbie Kooy and her brother, Jacob Kooy, Opa Piet and Lola Lolita Kooy, Oma Toni Kooy and John Mayhew, Uncle Peter and Auntie Jennifer Kooy, cousins Trevor, Christine and Michelle Kooy, all of Abbotsford, Uncle Paul Kooy (Squamish) and cousin Mason (Davidson, Sask.), Great Grandmother, Polly Pereverzoff, Grandparents Art and Pauline Biccum, Uncle Don Biccum, cousins Amanda and Riley Biccum, Uncle Bud and Auntie Laurie Heald, cousins Ashley Heald and Rob Greenwood (Cranbrook) and Erinn Heald (Lloydminster), Uncle Rick and Auntie Carrie Czar, cousins Reegan, Brayden and Jordin Czar, all of Creston, BC, as well as many great aunts, uncles and cousins from Holland and across Canada.

Special thanks to Dr. Mehra of Mission, Dr. Cohen of Abbotsford and the Oncology Doctors and Nurses at BC Children’s Hospital and Surrey Memorial for your wonderful care and support for Jaida.

A Celebration of Jaida’s life will be held at South Abbotsford Church, 32424 Huntingdon Rd., Abbotsford, BC on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11:00 am, followed by a reception in the South Abbotsford Church gymnasium. Pastors Andrew Stanley and Harry Haberstock will be officiating.
